McLean, VA – Allegheny Science & Technology (AST) is pleased to name Ken Saenz as Executive Vice President. In this role, Saenz will be focused on forthcoming initiatives in the energy markets for government and industry partners. He will also identify areas of capability for AST to bring technology and complex program management expertise supporting the future of energy security. His extensive background in energy technology and markets, both fossil and renewable, as well as national security will expand and build upon AST’s trusted energy solutions.

Saenz joins AST with over 30 years of experience in capturing and managing business in energy, transportation and consumer products for both government and commercial clients. He draws upon his extensive experience in business operations, business planning, business development, marketing and technology planning. Most recently, Saenz served as a Principal at Booz Allen Hamilton managing the Defense Energy Business. He also led Booz Allen’s Fossil Energy practice in the government market, managed Booz Allen’s support to the President’s National Commission BP Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill in the Gulf and created Booz Allen’s alternative energy business with the Department of Energy and Department of Agriculture.

Ken holds an M.B.A. degree from the University of Maryland (Robert H. Smith School of Business) and a B.S. degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Southern California.
